Just days after the incident, on Tuesday, the ride reopened. Ms Rodden’s family condemned the decision as a “disgrace”.
Caisha Rodden, her distraught sister, told Daily Mail Australia her family still did not know the full extent of Ms Rodden’s injuries.
Horrific Footage Captures Melbourne Rollercoaster Tragedy
The ride has been deemed safe by WorkSafe after an inspection, according to show spokeswoman Katie Scanlan, and could reopen as early as Tuesday.
“The safety and well-being of our exhibition visitors remains our number one priority,” she said in a statement.
‘Strict safety protocols are followed in accordance with Victorian WorkSafe regulations. All trips are subject to strict compliance inspections and have passed all required safety documentation.’

Horrific Video Of The Moment Shylah Rodden Was Struck By A Rollercoaster
Shylah Rodden, the victim of a horrific roller coaster accident in Austria on Sunday, went onto the track to retrieve her mobile phone, a video posted on social media showed.
Rodden, 26, remains in a critical condition in Roy Melbourne Hospital after she climbed the pavement at the Roy Melbourne Show on Sunday night and was hit by a slide.
According to news.com.au, Rodden was trying to retrieve a fallen phone from the runway when she was hit and dragged 25 meters into the air before falling.
An eyewitness, who inadvertently captured the moment the 26-year-old was hit by the pavement, said he “hasn’t slept since” after being left traumatized by the incident.

Jordan, whose last name has not been identified, told 7NEWS he was filming the roller coaster when his sister and partner, who were in front, came up.
“The injuries are terrible,” said her father Roden. “Terrible. She is brain damaged. It’s her pelvis, her arms, her legs, her back, her neck – there’s hardly anything that isn’t broken,” he said.
“I just cannot understand how so much damage was done. Even the doctors said they hadn’t seen anything this bad in a long time.”
In January 2021, she was thrown from her car after a collision with a truck and a car. It was reported that she was not wearing a seat belt.
