Overwatch 2: How to Fix Mic and Voice Chat Not Working on PS5

With Overwatch 2’s voice chat, you can communicate with your teammates while playing the game. This allows you to focus on the game without having to type your message into the chat box. This is a very cool feature as you can communicate on the go.

However, as long as you have a microphone, you can turn this feature on in the game any time you want. Let’s find out how to do that.

How to turn on voice chat | Overwatch 2 game chat guide

To turn on the voice chat feature, simply go to your menu and choose Options. Inside the options, head to the Voice tab, and under the Voice tab, head to the Voice chat option. Here, go to the Channels section and enable Group, Team and Matching voice chat.

You can set it to either ‘On’ or ‘Auto Join’. After enabling them, make sure that the voice chat mode under Capture is set to either Open Mic or Push to Talk. If you want to be able to speak directly without having to press any buttons, you can use the Open Mic option.

On the other hand, if you only want to speak when needed, you can choose the Push to talk option instead. When you choose Push to talk, a new option will appear that lets you choose the hotkey for the function.

Then, simply go back to your game. With this, you can now talk to your teammates via voice chat while you play.

Other Voice Chat Functions

Every time you join a game in Overwatch 2, the game will automatically put you in Team Voice Chat. This happens if you are playing alone and matching with other random players. Meanwhile, if you play in a group with your friends, you will be put into the group voice chat channel.

You can also talk to other players on your team who are not part of your group. To do this, simply click on the Join Team Chat button in the game to switch the channel.

You also have the option to mute other players. To do this, go to your menu and choose the Social option. From there, simply click on the speaker icon next to the name of the player you want to mute or unmute. On the other hand, if you want to mute, just tap the microphone icon right next to your name.
